Course overview
Art, Craft and Design is a broad and flexible course that requires students to develop an appreciation of the creative process through a practical response, using a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional media, materials, techniques and processes.

Art and Design Practice - BTEC Level 1 / 2 Vocational
Course overview
This qualification will offer you the opportunity to build the range of knowledge, understanding and practical skills you need to progress to further learning, and will also give you an engaging and stimulating introduction to the world of art and design. You will explore some of the key areas within the creative sector, learning how to address the needs of clients and create art and design work that meets creative sector, learning how to address the needs of clients and create art and design work that meets creative project briefs. This course is suited to pupils intending to study for further vocational awards. The Tech Award gives learners the opportunity to develop sector-specific applied knowledge and skills through realistic vocational contexts. - Development of key skills that prove aptitude in art and design practice

In this Vocational Tech Award the students will be developing and applying art and design practice skills focused on commercial opportunities. Students will be able to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical way through scenario lead project work. For example: Developing ideas and creating art and design outcomes for specific audiences and making artwork for the creative industries.
