Student Leadership

We recognise the importance in providing leadership opportunities for students at all stages of their journey at Bullers Wood School for Boys. 

Form Roles

Each year, students vote for roles within their form groups. These include form captain, sports captain and eco reps. These students play a role in leading and representing their form group in events around the school.

 Prefects

In Year 10, we recruit our school prefects including Head Boys and House Captains. These students play a critical role in supporting the every day running of the school including supporting staff at break and lunchtimes, running events, representing the school and assisting younger students.  

Student Council

Students from all year groups can become members of our student council. The student council meet regularly to discuss ideas to improve different aspects of the school experience. Recent projects include renaming our Science labs after famous Scientists.

EDI reps

Each form group can nominate a student to be an equality, diversity and inclusion rep. These students meet with our staff EDI lead to discuss matters relating to inclusion and provide student voice in this area. 

Library ambassadors

Library ambassadors support our school librarian with the running and organisation of the library, including the sourcing of new books and the running of clubs.
